Sometimes the getting ready part is the most exciting ....

When I say there is a lot to do, there is A LOT to do! I haven't wanted to slow down yet, so I've packed my schedule with former clients for fall photos, and new clients- in the midst of my other job, moving, and traveling- am I doing too much!? It's hard to stop and find balance - oh and I'm terrible at saying "no" to people, have I mentioned that?! Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely lucky to be so busy but sometimes I feel overwhelmed 😩. Everyone's tips helped me before, so if you have anymore on how to get through a hectic fall- I'm all ears!
¡Felicidad! Así fue la boda de este sábado en el Monasterio de Piedra. Una boda llena de emociones y de grandes momentos!

Spent the day ubering & walking around Albuquerque, NM. We enjoyed pizza, balsamic drizzled Brussels, nachos, cookies + ice cream & we casually tried to take photos of all the fun buildings and cacti. Now I'm snuggled up surrounded by like 10 fluffy pillows while I finish up edits on this amazing wedding day. The only thing that would make this better is having @micah37audiss here with me. 🤗 #audissphotoco
Three simple things to pay attention to when you are picking your wedding photographer. Beyond the person (I mean you have to get along with your photographer) there is a lot you can decide by simply looking at a portfolio:
✔️Ask to see a full wedding they have photographed and actually look at the photos. Do you like the way they edit their photos (warmth, contrast and all those good things), are they lit properly, are the evening photos just as good as the ones in daylight?
✔️Can you see yourself in those photos. If the photographer has a very serious and posed style that runs through all of his/her work, would you as a happy-go-lucky laughing bride or groom be comfortable with a more serious style in your wedding photos? Similarly, if you are serious or hate your smile (yup, that is a real thing), would you be comfortable with a photographer who encourages tons of laughter? Each of us have a comfort zone and you need to decide where you draw the line in the sand.
✔️Is their work consistent. Consistent in look and consistent in technique? Many newer photographers will evolve into their style and that is simply the path we all have to travel. However, if you have sepia in one set of images, blue B&W's in another, vintage haze or and selective colouring in the next... then we have a problem. You want to know what you are getting.
And that is that! Your photographer is tasked with producing amazing memories of your day so make sure you pick someone who makes you think "yep, he/she has got this!' ❤️
