Let it be. Of course, the famous Beatles song of the same title comes to my musician's mind. I once heard in an art class, "Continue to paint until you are about 75% happy with your piece. Then, just let it be." I've found that this piece of advice definitely also applies to me as a floral designer. Sure, I could work and work and work on an arrangement forever and still never be fully satisfied with it. But there comes a point in time where I must accept it and simply, let it be what it is in that moment. I think we learn this more and more with time and through our own life experiences. ✨✨Can you think of a time where you learned to just "let it be?" (Or a time where you should've but didn't?)
The roses are pretty much done this year, but I got a few gems out of the garden this morning. Love these ethereal beauties. I’ve grown roses since I was 20... so for more than half my life if you’re counting😂 #roses#inmygarden#fallflowers
Happy, happy to have these skylights in the kitchen. They were a huge selling point for us when we were considering buying this house (well, that and being near the beach 😎). And, after we remodeled and spread on gallons of white paint, they became an even more prominent feature since they...🎶Let the sun shine in....the suuuun shine in." 🎶 And Sunshine = Happy Weekend! ☀️
"Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you."
