This last Sunday was a big fundraiser day for my little Nichiren Shu Buddhist temple. We were selling these really big take out lunches with a ton of fresh handmade food in them. We sold nearly 300 pre-orders and it took so much work to prepare everything, cook all that food in massive proportions, and then package it up perfectly. I did spend almost the entire of my Sunday working to put everything together as fast as we could, but I didn't work as much as many other people. Yet despite my small part, my reverend still messaged me today to say a really nice thank you for my help. It's amazing how great a small, but nice thank you can make one feel. I think it's especially meaningful when it comes from an authority figure too. I had been having a rather down day and had been feeling extremely unappreciated in other aspects of my life, but that perked me right up. It even made me realize that I could be much more aware that the other person I was feeling unappreciated by was going through a hard time themselves and could use some compassion and extra help. So here's a very big thank you. I would not have taken my art to where it is without you. Most of these pieces might never have been drawn were it not for you. And since they're all pieces of me, I would not be the person I am without you. It's been super fun and I look forward to seeing the new pieces you inspire me to create. 😊😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊
If you are literally too important/busy to spend a cumulative 15 minutes texting before I adjust my schedule and bus across town to meet you, then maybe you shouldn't be dating.
I mean, texting for DAYS! Can you IMAGINE? No thanks, I'm far too busy for that 🙄
When you don't care about compatibility/safety before meeting, it almost seems as if you don't actually care about individual women or their personalities and see us as interchangeable entities.
