I don't think my heart can contain anymore happiness today!
When I was younger, I vowed that I would be a traveler anytime I had the chance. I promised myself that I would be spontaneous, and that I would find a partner in life that would join me in wherever the road was to take us.
I never knew that wedding photography would be the outlet that would allow my little travel-loving soul to adventure around the U.S. (and the world). But God knew. And His blessings are abundant.
I had a phone call with one of the sweetest, most down-to-earth Brides this morning. She was calling from New York, and asked me to come to Nashville, Tennessee next fall to photograph her wedding and to be a part of the most important day of her life. Y'all, I had the biggest smile on my face, and I guarantee that no one could wipe it away.
I'm traveling to Iowa in the spring and Nashville, Tennessee in the fall of next year to photograph two beautiful weddings...but I have a good feeling that the traveling won't end there 😉!

Interrupting the regularly scheduled food posts with some exciting news! Last night Michael completely and totally surprised me and asked me to marry him!!! Are you serious?!?! Pretty sure those exact words came out of my mouth 😂 We are so excited/still in shock and just feel so freaking happy 🤗⠀
Probably could share a better picture, but a selfie in horrible lighting with me post CrossFit and him with his shirt off just feels so right for us @souschefmikey ⠀

Can you believe this is a 3.5ct J SI1?!?! It's so clean and clear and the setting was completely custom made to accentuate the beautiful stone, so even our diamond dealers thought it was over 4cts!!! #winning 😌🙌 #jangmijewelry

"I always wanted my proposal to be as beautiful as our relationship was, so when we booked our trip to #Paris with her family last year, I knew it would be the perfect time to ask Lauren to marry me. While Lauren was with her sisters, I met up with two of our friends, who happen to be musicians (shout out to @annelorfrenchie), and set up rose petals in front of the Eiffel Tower. Her sisters were in charge of making sure she got to the exact spot I was waiting for her in and as I stood there watching her walk up, my body filled with nerves. Everything around me faded away, and all I could see was my future bride. She was crying and smiling the entire time. Our friends played and sang "A Thousand Years" as we stood there looking into each others eyes, hugging, and holding hands. Once the song was over, I gave Lauren my final rose (she's an avid #Bachelor/ #Bachelorette fan). She accepted the rose, and then I pulled out the ring, got on one knee, and asked her to be my wife..."
