The following condition is an extremely rare congenital disorder known as Diprosopus (craniofacial duplication)!
This refers to a fetus with a single trunk, normal limbs, and facial features that are duplicated to a certain degree. A less severe instance is when the fetus has a duplicated nose and the eyes are spaced far apart.
Fetuses with diprosopus often also lack brains (anencephaly), have neural tube defects, or heart malformations. In some cases, if the brain is formed, it may have duplicated structures.
It can be discovered in utero by ultrasound, CT scanning and MRI.
Polyhydramnios, a condition in which there is an abnormally high amount of amniotic fluid present within the amniotic sac, is often one of the first signs.
Because of the rarity of diprosopus, there are few treatment options or corrective surgery techniques available.

Median sternotomy done prior to open heart surgery!
This vertical inline incision is made along the sternum, after which the sternum itself is divided, and access is gained to the thoracic cavity, in order to proceed with heart or lung surgical procedures.
Heart transplants, coronary artery bypass surgery, and correction of congenital heart defects are some indications for the procedure.
