In March, Dylan and I had our portraits taken by @allisonjeffersphotography (who took this cute shot of my gold Kate Spade heels and beautiful bouquet by @sixpencefloral ). Tonight, we're repaying the favor and taking photos of her and her husband on their new property!
It was so great to be on the other side of the camera, as a photographer, to remember how our couples feel. It reminds us how it feels to have to plan for outfits, scout a location, find a hair and make-up artist, and pick complimenting outfits for our husbands. We remember the nerves of being in front of the camera and having our photos taken, how important it is to give great direction/prompts to our couples and let them know it's ok to relax, laugh with each other, and just love on one another.
If you've already had your engagement session, what is one piece of advice you would give to another bride/groom who is currently planning one? Or, what is one thing that happened during your session that you REALLY appreciated and made the session easier for you? Leave it in the comments below! I'd love to hear from you!

my #1 pick for a fall wedding is this @asos dress. the detail on the sleeves is gorgeous and gives some fall vibes without being too hot. the dress is available in several colors as well as a tall version & maternity! check out the link in my bio.
"...thanks to pre-marital counseling and meaningful conversations with my now husband, I realized that engagement is a lot like the rest of life. If you're naturally prone to anxiety and (like me) a bit more high-strung than the average bear, that's not going to change because you're engaged. And even if you're naturally pretty chill, emotional rollercoaster rides are par for the course during engagement. To top it all off, your emotions will probably ebb and flow more than your fiancé's. And, if you’re using your engagement to actually prepare for marriage (as opposed to just planning the wedding) that is to be expected."
Today on the blog, Assistant Editor, Christina Jaloway (@theevangelista), discusses of the battles of fear and anxiety during engagement. #linkinprofile
