URGENT: FOSTER OR ADOPT TEAGAN!
Teagan, a 45-pound, strikingly handsome one-year-old shepherd/mountain-dog mix, needs to be in a foster home! As a stray puppy who ended up in a rural shelter, he had no one to love him, socialize him, or teach him basic manners. PAW asked for help from an excellent trainer, and he’s making great progress with her.
He will flourish in a home where his primary person is physically strong, dog-experienced, and confident in working with an energetic, strong-willed youngster. PAW will provide a review of his training for the foster. He would make a great running partner!
Teagan has beautiful brindle fur and chocolate-drop eyes that plead with you to take him home. He is exceedingly smart and loyal. After training or play, he loves to cuddle and be physically close, but he’s picky with his dog friends and would do best as an only pet—and probably where there are no small children (because he could knock them over). He needs a tall privacy fence, or someone dedicated to leash-walking him. We have seen that Teagan is a great hiking and exploring companion! He may be a diamond in the rough, but he is one of the most wonderful of dogs. If you would like to meet Teagan or discuss him, contact Lisande at 301-366-2577 or send her an email at [email protected]
This is Mr. Biggles, a peculiar young dog of interesting traits. I like to call him Biggles, Biggs, or Biggie (depending on why I’m calling him). Biggles hasn’t been on too many car rides before, so the drive to the mountains was pretty scary for him. We stopped lots of times en route so he could be sure of his ability to exit the vehicle when needed (I sat in the back seat holding his leash and let him jump out and back into the car over and over when he wanted to). He really loves walks. We couldn’t go for a hike yesterday since it was -27°C, but I think he would be the best hiking partner! His hearty paws got too cold so I sat down so he could stand on my lap to warm them and he did right away (smart and sweet doggo). Then he easily let me carry him partway back to the car (to help his paws - he didn’t ask questions). He, like me, loves sandwiches and snacks. Upon returning to the car, Biggs brought me the container of PB&Js I packed for us to share. He layed down and relaxed for the whole car ride back to Cochrane (car rides aren’t so scary, after all). If you know someone who would like a lot of peculiarity in a small fluffy package with 4 super cute paws, please tag them! Or share this with them by fax, pigeon, or snail mail! @cochranehumane#adoptable#cochranehumane

If you are new to the Puffytails account here are some fun facts about Billie - the only girl in the trio.
She is a very content little girlie and she loves her brothers. She has a habit of yawning ALL the time and has done this as long as we've known her. #BillieYawns
She is about 8 years old and weighs 4lbs. She is the only Puffytail that will groom hoomins and she shows her trust during nail trims by licking us. She is playful and creative and we've seen her make up little games where she gets Cameron to chase her and then runs behind Bunny Dad to hide 😄
Thanks for checking us out 💜☮️ Also check out @the_beach_buns and #DandyYawn#adoptdontshop#billieyawns#bunnylove#instapet
