TBT: To when I managed to get a picture of the biggest smile ever smiled by a dog. Ever.
PS Sorry about the lack of effort on this one. I am personally absolutely exhausted. But I'm starting a 3 day weekend so good stuff on the way.
I remember my first Cyclocross National Championship in 2012. I was 16, and finished 29th in the Elite Women. I was one of, if not the last, women to finish on the lead lap. I was 9 minutes down on Katie Compton. ---
Yesterday, 6 years later, I finished 2nd 🥈 in my first official Elite championship, just moments behind KFC who scored her legendary 14th title (which means I got a little residual confetti cannon love, too!) --- Yesterday's result reminded me, yet again, to never stop fighting. To never give up hope about turning your season around. To never give up out on course. And to never give up on that wild dream you've had since you were 16 ♥️ --- thank you to everyone for all your love, cheers, splits, Cardi B lyrics, and hugs. Most of all, thank you to my phenominal team, Aspire racing -- for everything. And to my coach @alphonsealbert for being there, from that disaterous first national championships to now. #happinesswatts#allsmiles#cxnats#bepositivebepresent#thisendlessadventure#rapha photos: 1. @photowil, 2. @FloBikes and 3. @tenspeedhero 😊💥
