Blissful evening at Roswell Mill 🙈😍. It’s been exactly 4 months since I came to Atlanta and it was time that I begin exploring the much talked about year round outdoors. This was a great start!
Well I finally go back to college tomorrow (update I’m actually out of school for snow). The excitement levels are quite subpar if I’m being honest. As winter break comes to a close though, I can say this last month has been one for the books. It started off looking pretty bleak, with a lot of my friends traveling and seeing all these different places. I was stuck here in the southeast, but I decided to make the best of it. I hiked and took photos almost everyday this month, most of the time being with @emma.v.p (ps she’s the best at walking across ice and frozen things). I’ve seen some insane frozen waterfalls/rivers/ponds. I got to hang with @kamcline again. We got to see so many elk up close (we didn’t break any rules they wandered across a road we were on, they approached us.) If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this winter break it’s this. Don’t be discouraged on where you live. Get outside as much as possible, make as many memories as possible. Take so many photos even the bad ones. You’re only young once make them while you can.
Life is a Battlefield.
A 2,965 acre battlefield, the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign from June 19, 1864 until July 2, 1864.

I’m trying the embrace the cold and make it outside more often this winter. If you have a favorite place to go hiking near Atlanta let me know!! I’m interested in finding some more hidden gems ✨ #optoutside#atlantatrails
The frost continues ❄️
Most of the snow and ice in Georgia melted last week during the warmer temps. Some of us discovered this weekend that parts of North Georgia remain frozen. We didn’t mind one bit...
Went in search of some snow capped mountains today.

The trail is just as important as the destination. High Shoals/Blue Hole Trail has some of the nicest trails I’ve been on.

Another view of the double Helton Creek Falls. The weather was cold and dreary. There was a threat of rain. Due to the polarity, and ease of getting to these falls, the cold and overcast weather was welcoming.
Posting this in hopes that middle Tennessee will get some snow this weekend, fingers crossed.
