Finished Alias Grace yesterday and that last episode, especially the hypnosis scene, was mind blowing. Kudos to @sarahgadon for her outstanding performance and the rest of the team behind this amazing show. I went to library this morning to find the book, but they didn't have it, so I caved in and took another one of Margaret Atwood's books, The Year of the Flood, which had an interesting synopses.
People of Instagram! This is a public service announcement 😁 It is the middle of November 🍁🍃🍂🌿 We are still in the midst of the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness 🙌 By all means tag your tree, order your Bronze turkey, and purchase your kid's Happyland toy farm. And obviously have fairy lights twirled across the bird cages in your fireplace all year round cos they're prettttty 😍 But if you start decorating for Christmas now, you will quickly become so fed up of the festooned festive faffery and frippery that you will be ready to claw it all down by Boxing Day when it is still legitimately Christmas 😁 Our gardens, streets, parks and countryside are bursting with gorgeous golden leaves and berry-covered branches - if you feel the understandable urge to decorate, bring 'em inside! These are from the acer we inherited in our back garden, which turns an amazing flame colour at this time of year. I had to climb on a stepladder to cut the branches and then cling onto the top of the swing set to prevent myself from plunging to the wood chippings below 😁 More pictures in the slider, along with a couple showing the carved wooden top of our mantelpiece. It will be acceptable to start decorating for Christmas on either the first Sunday in Advent or the first of December, whichever falls sooner 😀 Gavel! 👊Who's with me?🙋
