Energy is my first language. I feel it more than I do words and so I'm extra careful with who I allow in my space and my life. I used to think this made me a selfish person that just needed to adjust my behaviour. Nope. Wrong. ❌ Being picky with who you spend your time with isn't about being self centred, it's about self care. You have the right to walk away from what doesn't add value to your life. ✌ I always think of energy like currency; I only have so much to spend and therefore I make it a priority to use it wisely. New PR 250🤗
Today was an attempt at 275. I got a few warmup sets in and then started doing singles climbing my way up to 275.
200 for 2
225 for 1
235 for 1
250 for 1 - then we jumped to 265 and I failed twice.
Maybe it was too big of a jump?
After failing twice on 265 I decided to shoot for 255 so I went back down for 225 which felt really easy. I did 245 after that which also felt easy. Then I did 255 and failed. I think my body was just tired after all of that. I’m HAPPY with 250 because 7 weeks ago I did 235. I progressed SOOOOO much in such a short amount of time after taking months off from squats due to a lower back sprain. I’m finally pain free with my squats and getting very strong again and fast!
I didn’t want to include this in my post because it’s going to sound like an excuse and believe me I’m a DO-er I don’t believe in excuses and I never make any. BUT.. over the weekend.. I was so busy that I hardly had any time to eat on Friday. I was starving all day and only got 2 meals in. I woke up sick on Saturday and woke up still sick today. I’m sure that played a role in my performance today but one thing is sure I gave it all my energy. I am going to try again I want to get that number. Have a nice Sunday❤️💪
