Dear #studentmidwife I think you for your service to women, their families and safe birth of this holiday period. If you're on call during this time remember to remind the parents you're with them, devoted and all in. If you are with your families - enjoy this well deserved break. Tomorrow night I'll be catching up with the with the women I trained with - a long overdue catch up. Big love Middie Sisters. You're all incredible for answering this calling 💓
When Laura & Benjamin saw their baby boy for the first time, the emotions could no longer be contained... the tears flowed! It was just beautiful to see and I was so very fortunate to capture these precious moments.
I always say birth is something you cannot describe with words until you experience it for yourself but even then it’s hard to describe what was felt at that moment.
It always gets me when I see Dads cry and show such raw emotion... Baby Thomas James - Born on the 12th of September 2016 at 6:35am weighing 8lbs 4oz. The most delicious baby boy! 💙

The first image is from my birth with Georgie and the second my birth with Freddie. This is the difference in the quality of images you get with an iPhone vs a birth photographer. Although I treasure these images exactly the same, they are both as special, an iPhone just CAN'T capture the moment the same way a professional birth photographer can. I am totally in awe of the skills of @birthphotographynorfolk. We spend thousands on prams, cots and all that other unnecessary stuff and totally overlook investing in our birth, this is the investment that REALLY matters. Photography, hypnobirthing classes, doulas etc etc..people that provide LIFE CHANGING services overlooked because we MUST have the latest travel system. Your birth experience and memories last a *lifetime*. I can't put into words the importance of investing in your birth. Fuck the material stuff. . .
Leilani Rogers ( @photosbylei ) is a birth photographer who loves what she does - and she has been kind enough to share some of her favourite images with us at @Kidspot. You can see more of her work via the #LinkInBio.
Be prepared to have your breath taken away. 💓
Presenting first, last and only Cinderella pumpkin harvested from the vine planted from a start in June. Yep, we're the proud parents of the early arrival of adorable Ella, our home grown 8 plus pounder here at Ainsworth Cottage. #birthphotos
