I love Sunday, it is my day to fill my cup!
Teaching has become a career that mentally drains me daily. Teaching my 6th Graders math is just one small part of my day, the rest feels like managing chaos most days. I have to be very mindful of my stress levels at work because they were starting to take a toll on my health. I am working hard to protect my energy while I am there.
So, Sunday I fill my cup up as much as possible. My day started with a meeting with my friend to work one our health coach lesson for the week. Then I went to church and filled up my soul. Then groceries and meal prep to keep my body fueled. A day to slow down and focus on self-care makes a world of difference. Keep on filling your cup, self-care matters my friends! ❤️ #fillyourcup#soulsunday#mefirst .
holy cow how are you N I N E already?!? 😭

Moms, what do you do in those moments when you feel your best isn’t good enough?
That happened to me this morning. I feel like all the #stress of the past few months caught up with me, and I got in a yelling match with my teenager over something really stupid.
The tears immediately started welling up in my eyes so I forced myself to get up and go for a “sanity run.” I didn’t #run for time. I didn’t care what my pace was. I didn’t care how far I went. I just ran...for me. I needed to get out. To clear my head, #sweat out my frustrations and just fucking breathe.
#Motherhood is hard, y’all. We gotta do whatever we can to stay above water.
Here is a look at yesterday's meals. 😊 I packed most and took it all to my parents' house since we were there most of the day! Didn't go off track! It's easy to eat healthy when you are prepared. The egg potato hash was so good!! Want to know what the other meals were? Just ask! ⬇️
❌I don’t spend an entire day meal prepping.
❌My kids call my name approximately 8684 times.
❌I don’t have cute tupperware (or matching lids for that matter).
❌I don’t waste time on Pinterest pinning ALLTHETHINGS and get overwhelmed.
I keep things simple and easy peasy 👌🏻 I used to be terrified of meal prep! Even those words made me immediately think of people who train for body building competitions and not something that I needed to do! 😂 But I also knew that proper nutrition is EVERYTHING, and I was sick and tired of busting my butt in workouts and still not feeling good (plateaus are such a B). So I looked at this way: If I start small and just do SOMETHING, it’s better than NOTHING. And wouldn’t you know it worked 💁🏼I spend a couple hours in the kitchen one day a week and it saves me a TON of time, money, and sanity during the week. So many people shy away from planning ahead because it requires some work🙄🙄Here’s my tough love (from a place of love of course!!!), you gotta put work IN to get something OUT with anything in life! Plus, it’s basically like packing a lunch not preparing for Y2K 😂You’ll be feeling good (and proud!) in no time! #gritandgrace#mealplanning
I knew it was going to be challenging to stick to my new fitness program and timed nutrition this week, but I don’t think I was prepared for exactly how challenging. •
I couldn’t control the timing of the movers, who showed up five hours later than they were supposed to, and underestimated how much cleaning needed to be done before moving our stuff in. •
I did my best, I was able to have my nutrient dense shake every single day, thank goodness, and I made due with what we had on hand for other meals. I ate more cold sweet potatoes than I would have liked, lol, but it definitely could have been way worse. I could have just said screw it and ate pizza with everyone else but I didn’t. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about balance, but I made a commitment to this program so I made sure to stick to it! •
And my virtual gym crew was absolutely crushing it, so there was no way I was going to let them down. Looking forward to getting back on track with them this week, and eating/working out on time.
All and all, still a great week! We moved into our new home, are beginning to settle in, and we are happy, not much more you can ask for.☺️

Day 7 of 80. Time to stretch and use my new BFF. The foam roller. Every Sunday is self care day. No workouts just stretching and caring for yourself.
Getting our girl @southernmadeblog through a snow day with our #momlife roast in our sassy cup (and ready to tackle some laundry and getting the kiddos ready to play in the snow...all I picture is that scene with Ralphie from A Christmas Story 😂)
Sunday are for meal prep, laundry and cleaning house. Why do I meal plan? It keeps me on my track with my nutrition and save money! How do I do my meal plan? I go through my favorite recipe books, look at what food I have now and need, plan my week and start prepping. I have a lot of Paleo cookbooks. I have more cookbooks, but I also use Pinterest and Google for recipes lookup. Btw I just want to add @nomnompaleo@readyornotcookbook is an amazing book and the most recently added to my collection 😘
Happy Sunday y’all! Sunday’s are for church & running errands! This Past Tense tension blend is a staple in our household. I have one on me at all times and use it daily. It’s amazing for if you’re feeling overwhelmed or suffering from a tension headache.
Today’s workout was not my favorite, but I got it done. I have stayed on track with my eating and following the plan 100% and I am really proud of that! .
Sometimes you just have to trust the process and get it done whether you like it or not. I know that getting through the first week and being successful with no sugar, alcohol or fast and processed food will be a HUGE confidence boost.

These containers have changed my life! ❤💙💚💛💜 I used to get overwhelmed about what to eat & how much to eat. I wouldn't eat hardly any carbs and then end up overcompensting after sticking with the no-carb plan for maybe a week.
Join my next virtual bootcamp to learn about these containers, meal planning, & how to fill your SELF LOVE tank!!! 💕 💪🏽LINK IN BIO💪🏽 #selflove#takecareofyourself

((you may add raw honey if you want it sweeter but this is the way i like it!)) set aside while you prep your oats, the jam will thicken as you do this 💁🏻♀️
