Clearing out my laptop it felt only appropriate to share this picture. I won a silver award at AdFed for this photograph. It was one of my first photography assignments using a rented point and shoot camera from the school. I never had a camera before or taken a class before this, 3 years later, it’s pretty awesome to see how far I’ve gone.
There wasn't a ton of color in this scene but there was a lot of contrast. Turning this image into a black and white really helped replicate the feeling I had standing here. The crashing waves would catch the first light as they drenched the dark shoreline rocks, still under heavy shadow.
