Pregnancy can cause every day to be so hit or miss, especially when it comes to working out. My first trimester I was lucky to just get my body walking some days, but the second trimester has been a whole different story. Was able to run a complete mile last night (which doesn’t sound like much to some, but when pregnant that’s a great accomplishment!) and then do a lower body workout. The biggest thing to remember is to LISTEN to your body. If something doesn’t feel right, especially pregnant mammas, then stop, rest, and alter your workout to do what feels good. Your body and your baby will thank you! 💪🏻🤰🏻

Have yourself an egg-cellent Friday my friends! This breakfast is egg-sactly what I need to get me through to the weekend! Okay, okay, enough of the egg puns. I had my first workout is six days at @pure_barre (😱) and it felt so good! I am fueling up with a big breakfast because my appetite is already back. I have not been very hungry these past few days. I.e. I only ate half my chipotle yesterday- not normal at all 🤣. Have a good weekend!! We are supposed to have great weather here in RVA so I plan on hitting up the farmers market and spending some time outdoors!

R E C I P E👉🏼 put 1c H2O + 2tbsp hemp hearts into a blender & blend on high for about 3 minutes🌪 the liquid should be a frothy, milk-like consistency. then add in 1/2tsp matcha + 1tsp coconut oil + a dash of cinnamon & blendddd😎 •
I’m just feeling super happy today because 1.) I’ll be going home this weekend❤️ 2.) I started my day with a killer 5mile tempo run on the treadmill before class 3.) it was snowing & snow makes me happy❄️ and 4.) they had roasted squash at the dining hall🤗 life is goooood. now I just have to power through some reading for class before bed- not too shabby for a tuesday! A slow start to the day because I have no lectures this week ☺️
Egg white oats, banana and crunchy almond butter from @traderjoes 🤤🤤
Ready for ALL the baking/protein ball making with @meganbarnett_ 🤗🤗🤗
Stir fry veggies (mushrooms 🍄, red onion, sliced peppers 🌶, baby corn 🌽, purple cabbage), chickpeas and a sprinkle of pumpkin 🎃 , sunflower 🌻and flax seeds for healthy fats ❤️
I served this with a baked sweet potato on the side for a balanced meal of carbs, plant based protein, healthy fats and lots of veggies for that #5aday🍍🍉🍑🍊🍈 (or 10 as @becky_lyons_nutrition says!✨)
Cardio today . Needed it,3 minutes no breaks then an ab exercise . 40 minute workout . All done before 6am.

No one likes to be bloated. It’s a super uncomfortable feeling no matter who you are.⠀
There are really a ton of reasons why someone can be bloated, but I have listed 6 tips above that can take care of quite a few of those reasons.⠀
Eating smaller portions and chewing your food is the first one and its ultra important for overall digestion. Most people shove food down the hatch while barely chewing properly.⠀
You will also want to cut out carbonated drinks, no matter what kind they are and replace them with water.⠀
Increasing fibre allows for food to pass through the digestive system properly and since many of us don’t get enough fiber, this can cause stagnation in the intestines and cause bloating.⠀
Using digestive enzymes works great and can be used in the beginning stages, but normally this will not be a long term solution.⠀
Lastly ruling out foods that cause an inflammation response in the body will be very important. If you are eating a food everyday that is causing issues, until you cut that food out, you will continue to experience this!⠀
