Yesterday the students of the ‘Little Speakers Program’ (LSP) helped me decide the format for the showcase (with a bit of prompting) and voted for the theme for the day, with a clear winner in, ‘Sports’. ⚽️
I asked the kids to volunteer for different speaking roles, and we as a class decided collectively the types of speech that those absentees might prefer to give. 👍
There will be 8️⃣ impromptu speakers and 6️⃣ show-and-tell presentations.
They also chose to showcase two other activities, which are, 1) posture work, and 2) Chinese whispers.
Certificate of Excellence awards were presented to:
✔️Jack, for improving his behaviour throughout the class to meet his behaviour outcomes.
✔️Samuel, for always maintaining a good standard in his behaviour and being interactive.
Congratulations to all the children on their awards.⭐️
I can’t wait to showcase our first LSP. 😊
Sometimes when you're having a couple of bad weeks, life can easily seem like it's working against you. In an aftermath of several mental and emotional gut punches and a good amount of bad company, self-doubt and loneliness can quickly become weirdly dark companions that wear you down and tarnish a positive outlook on life in general.
What do YOU do in those moments?
Self-care is cool and important. What you do afterwards however is what counts. THAT's when you find out who you are. Take control and decide what you need to do to move forward from anything that doesn't serve you and towards everything you want. Because at the end it's up to you and everything is indeed possible.
You're a boss. Be one. ✌🏽️👊🏽💪🏽🤗
With illness after illness, I never did get around to doing Zeph's 6 months photos. It seems silly to do them now he's closer to 7 months, so here are a few from a couple weeks back, one of his first encounters with banana. His facial expressions continue to amuse me daily. He sits up with just a little support, rolls himself at crazy angles to travel everywhere and, illness aside, continues to be happy and very sociable. I'm pretty sure I could hand him to a stranger in the street and he wouldn't mind, he loves everyone.
