Nothing makes us happier on a Friday than to share the stories of clients who are doing incredible work! 👍😀 Shout out to the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children ( #RIDBC) on the success of its 1st ever #Braille Camp, with coverage on SBS Australia, 7News, ABC and more!
More than 140 children from remote and regional parts of #Australia and their families attended the camp and enjoyed a week packed with fun activities - all with the goal of learning braille in an engaging environment.
Here's a few 'behind the scenes' photos from the media coverage.
You know we've made a good one when everyone takes a food photo! Loving our monthly cooking class with the @junior_league_of_calgary! This class was all about GREEN - green smoothies, green soup and salad! 😍
“It's a surprise!" When we found Janet Knudson and her family shopping in our store, they were deep in discussion over which fabrics would look best in the baby quilt she is making for her daughter-in-law. The mom-to-be was able to pick two fabrics she liked (only one of which will be used). The rest of the quilt, from the pattern to the fabrics, will be a surprise. We are sure that the new baby will love such a special gift sewn with love! ✂️⠀⠀
✨ Today is #GetToKnowYourCustomersDay, so all week we wanted to share your stories with everyone! ✨⠀⠀
Follow our mission and donate by clicking the link in our profile @jacksonchance11 "My name is Lauren Hayden, and thanks to you and the generosity of the Jackson Chance Foundation my husband and I got a bit of respite from the hospital grind with a nice stay at the Hard Rock. I really appreciated your welcome note, and the chance to read up on your foundation and all of the good you are doing for parents like us with a baby in the NICU.
My son, Theodore Thomas Hayden (Teddy) was born at 26 weeks and is two months old tomorrow. I am with him for at least 7 hours a day every weekday, often times longer. My husband Tom bikes over on his lunch breaks from work at GrubHub, and straight over again after work. Our weekends are spent with him all day. We make it our jobs to be there for him.
I think I didn't really know how exhausted I was until I walked into that hotel room last night and burst into tears. It really meant the world to Tom and me to be able to have a short trip to and from the hospital for the day, and the thoughtful gift of the hotel stay from people like you who care. [here]...is a picture of Teddy and Tom from this morning." -Laura Hayden (Teddy's mom)

Y'all...this household cleaner is 🙌🙏 I literally cleaned my entire house with only a capful of this, mixed with water, and a couple drops of lemon essential oil. I've heard testimonies that 1 bottle lasts a family of six up to 3 months! That means, depending on how I clean, this bottle may last my little family of 2 up to 6 months. Is your mind blown yet? Because mine is 💣💥! Plus it's safe, clean, chemical free and smells AMAZING (not that yucky chemical smell); are you convinced yet?
Kids love to copy and our youngest at just 14mts is DJ. He just loves to play at training.
Question is, how far will he go?

Executive Directors from all over the State of California are at the Capitol today to advocate for increased access to subsidized child care! Why does subsidized child care matter?? It's a wonderful program that helps working families, especially single mothers, move off of public welfare rolls and toward self-sufficiency.
We are thankful for educators within the school system that wholly believe in our HEROES message! This educator went on to say that “The HEROES program builds capacity in kids that allows them to choose their path in life. It really challenges students to ask some hard questions about themselves; what they want in their life, and ways to start to construct a road map on how to ultimately achieve success.”
My beautiful family ❤ moments like these are why we become parents. The joy, pride and love is overwhelming, you just don't know what it's like till you have your own kids. I feel complete now 😍

CRUSHED THE POSE ?
Today’s announcement about the financial situation of Carillion has no direct impact on services provided directly to those working for the Armed Forces and their families.
Housing will continue to be serviced, catering facilities run, and buildings and offices cleaned, as well as other services the company is involved in providing.
There are extensive contingency plans for dealing with issues such as this to make sure that services to personnel and their families continue to be provided to a high standard.
