Here's yesterday’s #BlackPanther#OOTN. I sadly didn’t have any authentic African attire to wear to the film ☹️. Sooo, I instead decided to go with a militant, 60’s inspired “Black Panther Party” look (hence the beret worn to the side), threw on a red plaid skirt to add some vibrancy, and a leopard scarf for a hint of animal print lovin from the motherland! 😆
As for @blackpanther I have so many things to say about this historic film! I was literally brought to tears after watching this film simply from being overwhelmed from the amount of #BlackExcellence I had witnessed on the big screen and even more overwhelmed to know how many little black boys and girls will be able to watch this film and forever understand the great power that they truly possess as creators and as future black Kings and Queens!
To add to the overwhelming sensation, knowing my cousin, #RyanCoogler , was the genius behind co-writing and directing this film. I have no words. Thank you @marvelstudios for giving such a powerful film the green light that although a “fiction” film, represents so much of African and African-American history, ancestry, and truth today! It was needed in the greatest way! I have so many emotions from watching this film, too many to caption honestly lol. All in all, everyone GO SEE BLACK PANTHER! We have to support our black films if we want to continue to see ingenuity like this on the big screen! ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿🤴🏾🤴🏿🤴🏽👸🏾👸🏿👸🏽 #WakandaForever#Vibranium
