Day 317/365 #daysofdelight "I can see the promise
I can see the future
You’re the God of seasons
I’m just in the winter
If all I know of harvest
Is that it’s worth my patience
Then if You’re not done working
God I’m not done waiting
You can see my promise
Even in the winter
Cause You’re the God of greatness
Even in a manger
For all I know of seasons
Is that You take Your time
You could have saved us in a second
Instead You sent a child" - Seasons by Hillsong -
Patience and trust go hand in hand, just like I'm learning the beauty of walking hand in hand with my Saviour. It's opening my eyes to His majesty, it's opening my heart to the beauty of His grace, and it's opening my faith to a growth that I never could have imagined. The winter may be long, but He is Lord of the harvest. The seeds that He plants in the winter, He will cause to bloom in His time. If He's not done working in the winter, then I'm not done waiting and I hold onto the hope that I have in my Saviour and the harvest He will bring.

Wow! Thank you friends, family, and collectors who made my black sheep self all warm & fuzzy by selling out of the After All, the Black Sheep series in an evening. It is so gratifying when something so close to your wild heart is so warmly embraced!
This black sheep was my favorite from the series. Little uphill staggering gal, seeking the summit. 🖤
Yess! So important. Sometimes I feel like I let me being an introvert get in the way of loving on people. I’ve been trying to work on that lately. I want to be a good example of God’s love. 💜💜💜 @thesassypoppy ( #whimsicalfaith to be featured)

Highly sensitive beings suffer more but they also love harder, dream wider, and experience deeper horizons and bliss. When you’re sensitive, you’re alive in every sense of the word in this wildly beautiful world. Sensitivity is your strength. Keep soaking in the light and spreading it to others. - V. Erickson
Learning to have a better attitude when plans change last minute — we had to cancel our brunch plans with some neighbor friends because the hubs got called into work. That’s how life goes though, right? It’s seriously a game changer when I run to Jesus immediately instead of letting myself get hooked and be crabby all day. The boys and I had such a blast today! We started out slow and made our way to the library late morning 📚. We made the ⛄️ cookies at Starbucks a priority for lunch and came home to conquer laundry and the dishes.
Somehow the boys have been getting along ALL day (all the praise hands) — like hugs and kisses and wrestling and all the laughs. ❤️ And now we’re basically just laying low, hoping the next couple of hours pass quickly so we can hug our favorite guy when he walks in the door tonight. And in case y’all didn’t know, Bentleyville opens TONIGHT! 🎄🎄🎄 We will be staying snuggled up inside, but if you go, give me all the details! #mymanworkshard#wereallylovehimlikeawholelot

June 10, 2017 // Heartbreak is a funny thing, precarious if you will. This excerpt is from my journal this summer just days after a break-up. I had gone on a hike with a dear friend. It was a pretty normal day filled with work and then a casual hike up Mt. Yonah. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a hard hike. June in Georgia and its unrelenting heat didn’t help.
My problems were huge and my heart was hurting. Once we got to the top of that giant rock I got a moment to just sit on my own for a second and think about all of the happenings from days before. It was in that moment that I was reminded that God had a handle on what I was going through. Problems that I perceived as HUGE were tiny to him and it was on that mountain that I knew I would eventually move beyond all of the emotions I was feeling. The best way over is through, they say anyways. Four or so months later, I am incredibly grateful for that hike and that little white house.
My heart was in about a billion pieces but that day my perspective shifted. Later this week on the blog I’ll be diving a little more into what this season of my life has been like and why I’m so grateful for that incredibly rocky start to it.

Does anyone else struggle with rushing around? In a busy season, we can all get caught up in doing more and loving less. This phrase is one of the most convicting truths found in Week 5 of our Seasons study...
What do you do to insure that you are "slow enough" to be available to this around you? Feel free to let us know in the comments below! #declareglory
