It feels real nice to be back because I’ve missed you guys! Thank you for your kind messages💖 After a couple of personal belongings were stolen from me last weekend, I decided to take it upon myself to use it as an opportunity for a social media break all together this past week✌🏼While strangely I almost felt disconnected from the world with higher levels of stress than usual of course, it gave me a lot of time to think which led to reorganization of priorities, better time management, and in fear that I may had lost all of notes from over a period of time (Idk am I the only one who takes full advantage of this feature on iPhone?😂 ), it brought me back to an “out with the old and in with the new” type attitude, which helped me see a brighter side to my week with an overall higher level of productivity. Silly to say, but just like when I was finally able to finally reset button on my new phone last night (Yeah you read that right. Don’t ask), that little break from social media was almost a reset on my life. And here I am, ready to come back at life harder💥 Also wanted to mention that luckily I had saved almost everything to my iCloud except pictures, but at this point, who cares💁🏼♀️ I just really hope whoever has my phone, enjoys food as much as I do because well... I bet you already know what the photography on that phone consisted of😈 Anyway, about those carrots tho...
🥕ROASTED CARROTS W/ CRUSHED PISTACHIOS & DILL GARLIC SPREAD: Cut carrots into halves lengthwise, coat in avocado oil, @majestic dill garlic spread, black pepper, and @jacobsensalt sea salt. Place cut side down and throw into the oven for 20min on 425F. Then, add crushed pistachios and broil for 5 more minutes. Top with a little extra dill spread and fresh parsley and enjoy✨

Busy weekend! I can't wait for the week to start so I can finally relax....not really. I didn't have time for cooking today and this is why I feel so grateful to have a @wholefoods walking distance from my house.
I grabbed a salad from their food bar which has a bunch of greens with shredded beets, blue cheese, cucumbers and chicken. I made my own salad dressing using avocado olive mayo, a dash of garlic powder, black pepper and a pinch of sea salt.
I do my best to avoid restaurant's salad dressing because they are mostly made with vegetable oil, which is highly inflammatory for the body and really bad for healthy skin.

Which body parts should you exercise? How often should you exercise each of these body parts?
I made this quick guide to help out. Tailor it towards your goals. A big part of that is not on the image, is what muscle groups go with which.
Muscle groups that typically go together if your goal is to be muscley:
1. Booty, quads, and hamstrings, calves.
2. Back, biceps.
3. Chest, shoulders, triceps.

after an extremely difficult few days, I’m happy to be feeling almost like myself again 🙏 i wasn’t expecting to take a few days off from here but it was definitely necessary as i needed to rest.
it’s crazy how things can turn upside down. you’re riding a wave and then suddenly the wave crashes, throwing you back to the shore. and you know you’ll catch another one but you’re not sure when or how long it will take.

A little brunch action going down at @cafemogadornyc. 🍽 I ordered the Middle Eastern Eggs which comes with 2 eggs any style (I did poached), hummus, tabbouleh, arabic salad, and za’atar pita. Loved this... especially the salads. Felt like we were back in Israel for a minute. 💯
Brunch tip for ya: the healthiest way to order your eggs is poached! They’re cooked in water so there’s no oil, butter, cream or milk used to cook them (like with fried or scrambled) so they’re lower in cals and fat. I love doing fried and scrambled at home because I can control the amount of oil I’m using but restaurants tend to overdo it so I usually roll with poached eggs when we get brunch out. 🍳🤓

If this post could make you think twice about any fad diet or any diet that eliminates food groups or suggests you can’t have a certain food. I want you to get passed that stuff for good — unless you have a very specific medical reason to avoid. But for losing fat or building muscle? Start ignoring that stuff.
You have to match what you need with what needs to be done.
Many come to me and say they like how I make it simple so nutrition is more approachable.
Let’s think about that for a second — the more confusing we’ve made food, the worse it’s gotten. The more we seem to “know”, the more people have confused it. And the more out of shape we get. 🤷♂️
I’m not suggesting we go back to the Stone Age, but when it comes to being overweight, no one was back then. And in time, you were considered rich if you were the fat one.
Build your meals around getting your vegetables and protein in. Some (or maybe all) of your protein can come from some of those carb sources like black beans. Do some research and learn about food, it’s worth it.
Fruits are great to snack on and you should try and get 2-3 per day.
Fats are nice to add to meals for taste and texture. Oils, avocados, nuts and seeds go great as a supplement to meals to add nutrients. The more plant based you go, the more focus you’ll need here.
And the stuff you want? Again, good luck completely getting rid of the birthday cake, your sweet tooth or the fact you like to have a few drinks. Truth is, too much of any food can get in the way, and in almost any case, you can reasonably include the foods/drinks you love — and I suggest you do.

3 tbsp @thechiaco chia seeds
3/4C almond or coconut milk
1/4C berries of choice (i used blueberries)
1 serving @tropeaka vanilla protein powder
2 tsp @melrosehealth almond butter
dash of cinnamon
directions: soak chia seeds in milk overnight then blitz everything in a @vitamix in the morning. top with fruit, superfoods and a dollop of yoghurt 👌🏼 wishing you all a beautiful day 🤗💕
