My weekend in Reykjavik ended today but I managed to get in a visit to The Hand Knitting Association of Iceland and Uppspuni, which is a new crowdfunded mini mill. I got some yarn to play with. Can you tell I’m excited about that?
All weekend I wore my Askews Me hat knit with oodles of different wools.
Memories in the making. 💚
Feels good to come back to places you’ve been to before, always makes me smile and think of how Iceland changed my life.
Incredibly grateful for all the people I got to meet or get to know since then. You guys are the best and I can’t wait for what’s to come. 🔥

Carved by intense volcanic flooding and glacial retraction, this canyon has encountered some fierce activity throughout its lifetime. Resembling a mysterious work of art, deep scars are spread across the rock walls. Each one reveals a unique story of boulders pummelling through the landscape as they were pushed along in the flow of heavy flood waters. As it stands today, both still and quiet, it’s hard to imagine what it would be like to witness the wild events that have occurred here in the past.
