Since I had a trauma and dramatic run last year during #kuchingmarathon2016...where i ran my virgin FM, still ...i made it as a finisher ..but not a good timing...keeping a positive mind that there is always a room for improvemnt for the organiser instead of black listing the event..eh eh #jangankecam saya..😅...i come back again this year and decided to downgrade the distance but aim to clock with better finish time...actualy i used to be a 'santai' #runner holding a #gopro shooting along the route....🌳⛰🐝🐞🦆🌴🌷 Me and #laribuddy at #kuchingmarathon2017#pbrenewed after 2years...fuhhhh..😅😅....only happened here...why?..it just at the right place, right time and with the great people...lets do this again next year gang!
14 August 2016: First ever Full Marathon 42km done in the streets of The Cat City, Kuching, Sarawak. Also marked the first overseas run of my running chapter.
Maintained constant pace and non-stop running up till 34th km, challenged by water shortages from 11th - 21st km, I had to run without water supply. Relieved to have refreshments from 24th km point onwards. However, 34km was proved as a limit to my both legs, I had to run and walk for 5km (35th-39th) while facing the last possible elevation of the route. Mustered the remaining 3km painfully trying to slow jog as much as possible which that face says it all in the last 1km. So ever grateful for the last 500m push by a finisher to help me cross the finish line.
Alhamdulillah!!! And cried lying on the green grass knowing that I had survived an enduring journey that I will remember for the rest of my life. 😊✌🏼️
I like this picture very much 😂 throwback Kuching Marathon 2016
I was completely bonked. I was on pace in the first 20 miles, then suddenly I stopped running. Soon, I was minimized to walk all the way and I no longer cared about my finishing time. I hit the wall and it was ugly. At the end of the day, lesson has to be learned from there because mission will be continue and got to move on and forward.
