The Torii gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine ⛩ are definitely a sight to see when visiting Kyoto. I’ve heard the term “10,000 tori gates” before visiting, but I had no clue what that really meant! When I arrived to the Shrine I was super excited to finally visit, but disappointed that I didn’t get there early enough to beat the crowds. The first hour felt like I was packed into a narrow sardine can, being pushed by the crowds to keep moving forward. Barely being able to enjoy its beauty😩. Now don’t worry if this happens 😉 like everything in life sometimes you just have to relax and literally go with the flow 🌀 If your legs, lungs & spirit are strong enough 💪🏼 keep up with the hike up the mountain side, and slowly the chatter of the crowds fades, while the sounds of the forest & your own breath will be the only thing you hear.
