The first time I did the #BurpeeBeach NTC I thought I was going die; it was the hardest workout I had ever done. Tonight, I was adding reps. 💪🏼 Now THAT’S what I call progress.
I will be totally honest, I chickened out of my run tonight, it’s SO windy right now. So, I picked the toughest workout I could think of, and at the end I found myself yearning for more.
So, in the spirit of crushing my workout (and stumbling upon early progress pics I had taken a while ago), I put up a “Progress Report” of sorts; November vs. Today. I always told myself I wouldn’t put up bikini pictures, because knowing myself it would be because I was looking for validation, but I want to post them for several reasons. 1) I LOVE this body of mine. This body that is capable of so much more than I ever thought possible. 2) To remind myself that progress is slow, and sometimes subtle, but it’s there whether you notice or not. And 3) because weight vs. progress has become quite a soapbox topic of mine since beginning my journey. Through all the changes in my body, I have remained the same weight. I try to remind people at least once a week that weight is almost meaningless; it just does not represent health. If I can help even one person become more independent from the number on their scale I will be happy, because it has been the greatest change I have made for my own happiness.
