“You may kiss the bride” Tom’s friends egged him on from the back of the room, he gave it a thought. Bride Pavan’s Indian cultural sensitivities meant this was a big no no, she flashed him a look and then they burst into hysterics. What a moment!
A lovely evening talking all things wedding at a new STUNNING North Norfolk venue. My eyes were on stalks at the photo opportunities in this amazing space at @pensthorpe_natural_park and I can't wait for my couples to discover what's on offer. It was so nice to see Sharon @flower3o Emma @bunsoffunemma and registrar Charlotte Martin. Thanks to Emily @yournorfolkwedding for inviting me along.
Georgia and Fergus's magnificent albums are back from my artisan printer and they look stunning. With names in 22ct gold on blue leather, their album is the largest I've ever produced at a whopping 11cm thick with 80 pages of beautifully printed memories. It's safe to say their memories are safe for generations to come. What will your story be?

I’d like to say a huge thank you to the couples who have nominated me for Norfolk and Suffolk Bride wedding photographer of the year 2018. I wanted to let you know that I’ve decided not to continue in the mix this year. Why? Last year was awesome and I achieved everything I could hope for - but at this moment I have nothing to prove to myself. I am, however, setting my goals a little higher for your benefit.
As you may have seen, at the start of the year I gained my photographic qualification with the @the_mpa_uk This pushed me creatively and professionally; my work is refined and critiqued every month by photographers with over 30 years of wedding experience. This inevitably means more technically perfect, emotion filled images for you. After winning the @mpa.east.anglia wedding photographer of the year I entered a bunch of images into the UK competition for the first time. I was thrilled to have three into the print assessments; one in wedding classical and two in wedding documentary. These prints were assessed and judged by fellows of the industry resulting in scores to be proud of. In September I travelled to Hinckley for the national event and I was thrilled to receive a national merit award for Kate and Sam's windswept Cley beach image (which really has become THE image of 2016/7) as well as being featured on @theprintfoundry huge banners. I was only one of seven photographers in the UK to be awarded a merit in wedding classical, I was amongst some huge names in the industry - Martin Leckie, Simon John, David Bostock. So this brings me back to why I’m not looking for titles; I’m looking to improve my work and will put my energies into capturing even better images and ultimately working towards an associate qualification panel. So couples, don't be surprised if I request an extra few minutes to create something really special. xx
I received a little email this afternoon confirming my nomination for the 2018 EDP Bride Wedding Awards 'Wedding Photographer of the Year' (thank you Mel & Nathan and Naomi & Shaun for nominating me and anyone else that I'm unaware of that nominated me) and requesting that I submit my three favourite images from the last 18 months by 10.00 tomorrow morning (this award is different from the national wedding awards which I am a regional finalist for). Now the thing is I truly have so many favourite images so it got me thinking how the heck was I gonna pick only three.
So... Facebook has decided... With a Facebook spread of 8,574 people, Stacey & Tom's 'Bridesmaids Delight' pic was my most popular photo of the last 18 months.
Following closely behind with a Facebook spread of 7,252 people, Marina & Kris 'Stunning Marina' pic was my second most popular photo.
and the very recent Georgia & Ricky's pic 'Fairy Light Love' with a spread of 4,827 people is my third and final photo.
There were so many photos with around a 4,000 spread but I've let the good folks of Facebook who follow my page (and their family & friends) decide.

Like Horace Slughorn from Harry Potter, I also enjoy 'collecting' families. It’s been an absolute joy, privilege and honour to capture all three of these beautiful sister’s weddings. Thank you x
