Just wanted to say thank you to you all for showing so much interest in my work over this last 3 years here on instagram. I reached 100 thousand followers here today on my Instagram profile, I really appreciate this from everyone of you. To mark this occasion my daughter Lauren and I decided to try and celebrate this by making a Ghost mirror to say thank you. In the early 1900’s Victorians used pocket mirrors which were clear and smooth but usually showed a figure or a word, or both, when the surface was breathed on the invisible image appears through the condensed breath on the surface of the glass, these mirrors were known as Mist Mirrors. The mirror in this film was made using the steam from a kettle. Sorry the film is a little shaky mainly due to trying to get the best angles for the camera to show up the typography. Anyway hope you enjoyed it. Thanks again and big thanks to everyone that shared my work out here on this very cool social media site. It’s been Great fun!

Last year, when we had both fog and frost at the same time. It really creates something unique. Found this little tree trying to hide 🌲❄️
11:55, almost midnight. Enough time for one more story. One more story before 12:00, just to keep us warm. In five minutes, it will be the 21st of April. One hundred years ago on the 21st of April, out in the waters around Spivey Point, a small clipper ship drew toward land. Suddenly, out of the night, the fog rolled in. For a moment, they could see nothing, not a foot in front of them. Then, they saw a light. By God, it was a fire burning on the shore, strong enough to penetrate the swirling mist. They steered a course toward the light. But it was a campfire, like this one. The ship crashed against the rocks, the hull sheared in two, masts snapped like a twig. The wreckage sank, with all the men aboard. At the bottom of the sea, lay the Elizabeth Dane, with her crew, their lungs filled with salt water, their eyes open, staring to the darkness. And above, as suddenly as it come, the fog lifted, receded back across the ocean and never came again. But it is told by the fishermen, and their fathers and grandfathers, that when the fog returns to Antonio Bay, the men at the bottom of the sea, out in the water by Spivey Point will rise up and search for the campfire that led them to their dark, icy death.
Get inside and lock your doors, close your windows. There's something in the fog.

Tigress | Enchanting Kali
We were on a drive back from Kulgi after catching up with a few friends at the stroke of dusk when we heard a Peacock alarming close to the main road about 500 metres after exiting the forest gate. Since we were in a rush to head back that day, we decided to move ahead when suddenly there was a flash of orange that darted across the road at a distance. We had no clue what it was since it happened in a fraction of a second . Within seconds we heard the Wild Boars go crazy and thats when we knew it had to be a Tiger. Cursing our good and bad luck we drove ahead to a see of a pair of eyes. Finally the moment had arrived when a wild Tiger in Dandeli was just a few metres away from our Car. With shivering hands grabbed my camera and fired a few shots just to be sure a few frames had been captured because who knows after how many years this unbelievable moment would repeat itself. What followed was sheer magic, as the Tigress decided to resume her patrol and started walking on the road again marking her turf along the way. She was so bold that at one point she headed straight towards us to mark a milestone. She finally entered a pathway which took her deep into the jungle.
Have seen many many Tigers in my life but this sighting without a doubt was the most romantic of them all just because it was from Dandeli where Tigers are like ghosts and very few sightings are recorded every year. A commendable job from the forest department in last decade has led to an amazing increase in the prey density, hence resulting in the steady increase in the population of the big cats.
