Monday sort of smacks a parent in the face. The working variety may get some child-free respite, but a professional to-do list in its place. For the stay-at-home variety, "the routine" is attempted with children trying to foil it at every opportunity. For either variety of parent - and we've been both - there are two things that help set the tone for the week: a spot of meaningful life/house admin and a workout.
We're not talking Pippi Longstocking on scrub-brush skates dancing around the floor in a fit of bubbles... although, on second thought, that sounds pretty fun. The way Cate + James treat the tile floors, this is probably what's needed.
Today, we're building a cheap, wooden shoe rack to get the house entry way under control, then doing a 30-minute HIIT leg workout. Given our prowess in DIY and burpees, this could be a dangerous combination.
But honestly, if it was half term, it'd be lounge wear until lunch. Thankfully, we don't yet need inspiration from @hurrahforgin's activity planner. Yet.
I haven’t been working for the past two days due to family stuff and before that it was mainly prep work.
So you can have a photo of my very disorganised work place. That’s actually my saw that is covered with rocks that don’t really have a home yet 😬.
