Just 3 weeks ago I reunited with my Hero Lech Walesa ... revolutionary #freedom fighter , #polish President of Free #poland
As I am preparing to depart from Warsaw Poland 🇵🇱 I feel at peace. My life has come full circle, I have connected most of the dots with the help of all of You.... My place in History has been defined ,as I found my images in the archives and the walls of the museum. The photographs from the events that has changed the World forever made it real for me.
Iam honored and grateful to President Lech Walesa for meeting him again after all those years.
As you said Andrzej Kic "We are the most beautiful generation " We gave Freedom to millions of people "
My Solidarity-Solidarnosci banner from The First Solidarity Convention in 1981 will be donated to the European Solidarity Museum and will stand as a separate exposition telling a miracle story ..... I am forever grateful to Jeffrey Larosa-Adams for being my guiding light in this survivor story.
This is how The World saw Lech Walesa and the Solidarity Movement back than till now , the list of accomplishments is very long and will continue to grow.
Apart from his 1983 Nobel Peace Prize, Wałęsa has received many other international distinctions and awards. He has been named "Man of the Year" by Time Magazine (1981), The Financial Times (1980) and The Observer (1980). He was the first recipient of the Liberty Medal, on 4 July 1989 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and that same year received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He is the third foreigner and the first non-head-of-state to have addressed a joint session of the United States Congress (15 November 1989). #instagood#history#instadaily#peace@kardiokrunk#lechwalesa#usa#remember#change#solidarność#solidarity@rushkabergman#polishgirl#polska#polska#honor#friendship
