When good triumphs over evil. The upper beak of this bald eagle was destroyed after someone shot her in the face. But a great rehab team gave her a second chance by creating and giving her a bionic beak. Wonderful science 👏

Often we are asked “How do you not just take them all home working here?” Well, the answer is sometimes we do! These are the cute, furry (and sometimes scaly) faces of our staffs CCHS alumni. Amongst our small work group, we have adopted a total of 18 cats, 10 dogs, 3 rabbits, 1 leopard gecko, 1 bearded dragon, 1 mouse, and 1 ball python. How many CCHS animals do you have at home?
"A Miss Prim Retrospective, Part 1: Origin Story"
[Hey gang, it's Jon Blig. So, most of the last week here at The Fulton Zoo has been consumed with worries about D's health, but now that we can breathe easy about that, we really wanted to share some final remembrances about our Sweet Miss Prim.] A lot of you may not know as much about Primmy as you do about Mewsie & D, so here's a brief summary of how she arrived at our tiny apartment in Brooklyn.....
Primmy actually originally hails from the great state of New Hampshire. She was rescued off the streets of a small college town by a student who happened to be the daughter of a co-worker of Nico's mom, Lind. The two of them lived in Budd Lake--together with Lind's other Cat, Smudge--for roughly 6 years. In 2013, after a fairly serious health scare, Lind came to live with us, so that she could be some place closer to Nico than Budd Lake while she looked for her own place in Brooklyn. During that time, the "Fulton Zoo" moniker was born, as this small 2-bedroom railroad apartment was home to 3 adult Humans, 4 Cats (we took Mewsie in about 9 months after Lind and her Cats moved in) and Angel the Dog, rest in peace. Nico had already known Prim through visiting Lind in NJ, but once they shared a home together, they formed a very close bond. When Lind moved out 2 years ago, housing regulations at her new home allowed for only one Pet. The choice of who should stay behind with us was obvious to all concerned.......and the rest is history. Miss Prim was a "People-Cat", not a "Cat-Cat", and there were often tensions bwtween her and [CONTINUED BELOW IN COMMENTS]
