This past week, my family and I went on a Bahamas Disney cruise and had an absolute blast!🎉❤️🖤 We really tried to find a good balance of getting our exercise in, relaxing and indulging some, but not overdoing it. I think we did pretty good!🙌🏻😊 My hubby and I made a pact that we’d workout every day to stay active, take the stairs and avoid the elevators throughout our trip, and try to make smart food choices (although, we did indulge some- as we should have, right?!☺️😜). I think we succeeded!🙌🏻 We signed up for the Castaway Cay 5k-such a fun way to spend a little time together and do something healthy for ourselves to get the day started!🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻♂️ I’d totally recommend doing this if you are going on this cruise!👍🏻 If you’re looking for ways to make your life and your next vacation guilt-free and healthier, DM me!❤️ I’d love to help you! (Website and blog are still in the works- I’ve been a little behind from no WiFi on the ship and spending time with my family!😉) #yeahthatgreenville#disneycruise#dream#castawaycay5k#tiwaritribe#jointhetribe#fitnessbuisness#fitnessmotivation#vacation#healthy#irunthisbody#runnermom#runchat#runningcommunity#eatgoodfeelgood

Happy Friday! 🙌 Like @mais_runs_trails we are welcoming the weekend with open arms! Where is everyone running or riding this weekend!?
My plan today was to run before work, but that didn't happen (🙄😶 - I did my #yogaeverydamnday2018, though), so I ran after work instead. I didn't run as far as I thought from the beginning, but something is better than nothing 😅 .
Are you sweating in the weekend?
Hey guys! 👋🏻 I've been taking some time off from running since the marathon, but I plan on getting back out there this weekend. I've been super busy working and also getting together my application for dietetic internships in the fall, so I apologize for my absence! I have some goal races in mind for this year, but nothing will be set in stone until I know where I'm going to be living 😝 Hope everyone is doing well! ❤️

The journey to the @nationalrunshow has begun - hope to see lots of you there 👍
5 miles - No watch/pace/music.
I got to enjoy GORGEOUS pre-sunrise views with deep purple skies and enjoyed the quirky sounds of Canadian geese around a reservoir and loved every moment💜 wish I would've gotten a picture of that pre-sunrise view!!
It's FRI-YAY!!!! Have an AMAZING day and show love to the people in your life!! Xoxo😘
Happy Friday and I have today off so it’s even happier! 🙌🏻 I like to keep it real with you guys so here is a little story. A lot of people ask me if I’m trying to get a BQ and I always laugh and say “haha, maybe one day years from now” because I honestly feel embarrassed to say “oh yea for sure” but last night my oldest son asked me if I was going to run at Boston because we were talking about it and I just off the cuff said “yes, I’ll run Boston”.. it’s really the first time that I’ve said out loud that I WILL get there and now that I said it to my son I have no choice but to prove to him that I can get there! My journey isn’t a fast one, it might take me a lot of marathons or all this hard work will come shining through and I’ll have a perfect marathon day...but what I do know FOR SURE is that I won’t stop, I won’t let people that don’t believe in me get me down, and I will prove to my boys that you can do hard things in life! 👊🏼
8 mile progression run 9:00-7:50. Not feeling 100%(sinus pressure and a little cough) but happy with how this one turned out today! 💙 Always always always dream big and keep moving forward! 👊🏼
Very gentle 3.5 miles today!
▪️ Really struggled to get myself up and out of the house. Followed my own advice of commit to 10 minutes and see how you feel. Mission today was to try and keep myself slow as I've got 16 miles to do tomorrow. The sunshine being out really helped!
Somewhere in the middle of this workout, I was cursing everything under the sun. Ironic that I was was running during a sunset.
Right before the last 800m repeat started I asked myself why the hell I was doing this. It was dark outside. It was cold. I still had a ton of projects to get done for work. I still needed to make dinner. My AirPods had died because I forgot to charge them, so I was running in silence, only being able to listen to my labored breathing.
But when the interval clicked over, I made myself run. Hard. Because I can. Last year at this time, I couldn’t have done anything approaching this workout. But now I can.
And I’ll never take that for granted again.
Even though I’m not running this week, I’m LOVING seeing all of you crush your workouts 😍💪🏼🙌🏼🏃🏼♀️ Thank you all for keeping me motivated and inspired! I’m just sitting here, eating cheese dip, cheering you on 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Focus on the job at hand
Don’t get carried away by always looking to big picture. You should have the big picture in mind, but your focus should be on the here and now
If you focus on each individual small thing then you will make progress towards the big goal

Sooooo I’ve been tired this week. I was meant to do the Palm 10km this morning with @xletticiax but it would have meant a 5am alarm. I made the decision to get a proper night sleep, and miss the run.
But it didn’t mean I missed running. I grabbed @kiedoh91 and we went for the 8.5km round the marina 🔥 It was TOUGH! 5:28 pace never used to be hard but my heart rate was THROUGH THE ROOF.
But so glad to have got it done - thanks for the motivation Kieran, despite your little sprint at the end 😂 #ShowOff#HadToBeBetterThanMe#JustYouWait
1 year ago I was starting my journey towards the start line of my very first @bostonmarathon which I ran at 4 months postpartum! One of the most difficult but rewarding build ups I’ve ever had for a marathon! 💙💛 I wore my jacket today to remind myself that WE CAN DO HARD THINGS!
Today’s run was all about recovery after yesterday’s big workout. Over the years I’ve learned a few things about recovery:.
💕 YOU and only you are responsible for making sure you are running a true recovery pace.
💕 Your recovery days are vital if you want to hit your big workouts.
💕 I always start super slow and let my body dictate the pace as I progress.
💕 You should be able to carry on a conversation comfortably on your easy runs. If you can’t slow down.
💕 Recovery takes as much dedication as running hard does at times. There is no shame in running slow - it doesn’t make you any less of a runner!
💕 There isn’t such a thing as too slow.
💕 Each easy day is different. What feels easy one day may not the next. Don’t let your watch dictate it - let your body! .

Jumping out of bed on a snow day like a kid in a candy store......with a few more layers on of course!
Skipped the treadmill for some cardio snuck into my full body circuits and gave a little extra attention to core exercises 🙄 2 of 3 circuits are in my stories, but I'll share it all in an easy to read version 👊🏼🖤💦
Sorry in advance for the sweat, you'll want a lake to jump in when you're done. Or is it just me who sweats this much?! Comment below and it's yours 👇🏼
