Good morning happy tuesday friends! Went to the gym today and started with 3.02 miles on the treadmill today and was able to stay at a sub 8 pace the whole time 🙌🏽 then did 40 minutes of leg and ab workouts 💪🏽 have a great day ☺️✌🏽
Nothing makes you feel more out of shape than your first track day in months with 16 mph winds. But it will only make me stronger, right?! Well let’s hope so because I don’t think I’m going to be able to move well for the next couple of days. I did a two mile warm up (uphill getting to the track) 12 x 400 with 400 recoveries in between with a 1.5 mile CD. I never came anywhere near my goal paces, but I’ll get there with consistency and patience. I’ve done it before, I’ll do it again. Oh and I had a track day without any skunks or raccoons chasing me 🙌🙌
With parts of Minnesota receiving 17+ inches of snow yesterday, here’s a nice pic from last April, complete with green grass and sunny skies. Four totally ok-ish treadmill miles to kick off the day. Happy Tuesday everyone! 💜 PS. Safe travels to all my local friends today!
Some steroids and pseudafed has me feeling like a whole new person! I’ve been letting these sinus infections run their course, but with this being my 3rd in 6 months, I wasn’t about to miss out on another 2 weeks of training. Thankful for @totalaccessurgentcare - I was in and out in 30 minutes yesterday! This run was exactly what I needed this morning - feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of the week! ❤️👟👊🏻

After taking a week off marathon training, today I’m back in the gym and it feels so good! My body is rested and my mind is focused & I even managed a box jump PB of 36” for 10 reps. I’ll be documenting more of my workouts and my marathon journey on here, but check out my insta stories for a snippet of today’s workout which included:
3 X 6 Power Cleans
3 X 6 Over head lunges
3 x 8 Backwards lunges
3 X 8 Press ups
3 X 10 box jumps
3 X 3 Pull ups
Have a busy day so got up at 4am for some morning treadmill miles. Was supposed to run 6 miles but hey bad runs happen sometimes.

A quality workout appeared on my @vdot_o2 calendar this week - the first since April 2017!
The first of many I hope to see in 2018.

Tough workout on the track tonight! 🏃🏻♀️ We did w/u, 800 x 8 with 400 recovery, then cool down. I didn’t quite hit all of my targeted paces but I gave it all I had! Didn’t help that I took the first one way too fast. 🙈 My watch shows total including warm up and cool down.

I'm a dreamer🙋🏼! Dreams fuel me through endless training days. Knowing that I have MORE in me lights a fire! I want it and I'm going after some big dreams! OTQ didn't happen yesterday by 45 seconds. I fought hard, I hurt, I dug DEEP in that pain cave but I still didn't happen. BUT I'm not going to let it get me down!! I'll learn from it and let it fuel me for next time!

An easy 5 miles after a very long day at work. Ever have those days where every little thing just irritates you and you can’t control it? That was me today. I hate those days but it’s so hard to change how you’re feeling. Still, I managed to come home and grab my dog for this run before the sun went down. Watching my dog run so happily after being alone all day and then the sun setting really helped change my mood 😊 tomorrow will be a better day!
And this is my chance I’m taking, all them old records, I’m breaking...I am invincible, unbreakable, unstoppable, unshakeable

So #workoutwednesday is brought to you by laps around my trusty neighborhood interval loop 👍🏼 I had a mini tempo run planned for today and knew we’d get some weather over night. I wasn’t about to let the cold and snow get in my way. Nope, not today, Elsa. I trudged carefully down the hill and did my little safe loop a few times (for 3 tempo miles @ 6:09 😨) . I see so many of you braving much tougher conditions that I was fueled off that inspiration. We’ve got goals to chase! 👊🏼 Let’s git ‘er done.
