Happy Fri-Yay!! Not quite my Friday, but almost 🙌🏻 ...
Wrapped up a glorious week of client bodywork therapies at the spa, and another cross training session with a relaxing lap swim. The fact that I am able to swim outdoors in January with 70 degree sunny weather makes me feel super grateful. I am going to soak it up while I can because the heat of summer will be here before you know it. ...
Having this week entirely off from running for the first time in months, provided much needed rest, time to reflect upon what I’ve achieved thus far, and my upcoming goal. Also, a newfound excitement to incorporate swim and cycling into the training routine. Forgot how much I enjoyed these activities. Do you personally gravitate to one fitness activity? Or do you enjoy a variety? ...
Time to rest and stretch before hitting the pavement once again for my long run Sunday. Can’t wait to see how these legs feel. Feeling a glass of red is in order before it’s completely off the plan for a while. 🏊🏼♀️🍷 #swim#crosstraining#marathontraining#newbie#swimrun
Tomorrow's race day! 10 miler. Goal time 1:27. I'm absolutely nervous for this one...there's hills. Not only that but I'm actually feeling overwhelmed with a different situation. Hoping it doesn't negatively affect me but I don't feel as focused on the race as I usually am.
Busy Friday for us, but I still got in a 8 mile tempo run! I usually do these runs alone but it was so nice out that I decided to bring the LO along. As I started this run I thought about making it an easy 8, but I knew I had it in me. My plan called for 2 warm up miles, 4 miles at MP and 2 cool down. (7:58, 7:24, 7:37, 7:24) My first fast mile was way off, but the other 3 weren’t too bad. ❤️🏃🏻♀️😊 #marathontraining#motherrunner#strollerrun#temporun#bobstroller#runlikeagirl#runningbuddy#fitmom
When you should have taken the dog for a walk rather than try to use up the carbs you’ve been storing for a race you decided not to run 😂😂😂 Oh Lordy that was a disaster - I’m taking a few days off as there is definitely something not quite right with me. I’ve forgotten how to breathe and my HR keeps maxing out at a snail’s pace. Low in iron perhaps? 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ Anyway I can unequivocally say I have absolutely zero regrets about not racing this morning 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Bring on Foo Fighters tonight 🎸🎸🎸 Happy Saturday all and thanks for all your lovely comments 💖💖💖
Disappointed!....last year participants received a pair of shorts if they completed the 40k and an added shirt if they went on to complete 80k. This year we received an invitation to spend money on FULL priced items (which brings it to the price on the We Made to Much rack) regardless if you ran 40k or 80k, after we were led to believe there would be two rewards. Not only that, this offer expires in two weeks!
I’ll be saving 100% on @lululemon by never buying their product again. THANK YOU for the savings.

Happy Fri-Yay! .
I squeezed in some afternoon miles with these speedy dogs before my PT appointment. Recovery is starting to finally come along and we are focusing on relieving tightness in my calf. We tried cupping for the first time and it felt AMAZING. I could feel the fascia around my tendons finally loosening. 🤞 this is what will finally give me relief!
Post run I fit in some hip and balance exercises to keep targeting my imbalances. 👊
3.2 miles, 23:31, 7:21/mile
Speed workouts by headlamp after a long week at work makes all the stress just melt away. I enjoy the long, slow miles when I can zone out and just enjoy the peace of it all - but just as much, I love the focus and intensity of these short speed sessions, seeing what my body has to give, and leaving it all out there.
1 mile warmup, 200m, 400m, 800m, 400m, 200m, 1 mile cool down, easy 200m jog in between each. Happy with my splits and how controlled it felt today.
Some of the food I inhaled today. I ran 8 miles on the treadmill for my half marathon training (Fridays are my long run days) and I have been eating all day. I’m not complaining 🙃 I tracked my calories and somehow even with all my eats I still have a calorie deficit. Protein, veggies, and healthy fats for the win! I think tomorrow I’ll take it easy with a yoga flow and/or a long walk on the treadmill. #fitness#healthyfood#healthylifestyle#running#runnersofinstagram#halfmarathontraining#weightloss
I wrote a book! And you can preorder it on @amazon or at the link in my bio (and please do)! It’s about physical and spiritual fitness... training your body and soul! Published by @oursundayvisitor and coming out next month!
#snowday today!! This is rare for Houston but the second time this season! When it snows in Houston offices and schools close! Ha ha! It’s been a cozy day at home with my mini and I just finished my workout on the treadmill 🙌 Now it’s time for #candyland and hot chocolate! Speaking of hot chocolate...12 days until the @hotchocolate15k

Good Morning, Friends! This was my first tempo run in a very long time and it actually went better than I expected. 4 miles at 8:20 pace then 4 miles at 8:06 pace. I kind of set my paces slow on purpose, but faster than I have been running. Next week I will cut them down some more! I hope everyone has a great day! 😊💕💕
Tough workout on the track tonight! 🏃🏻♀️ We did w/u, 800 x 8 with 400 recovery, then cool down. I didn’t quite hit all of my targeted paces but I gave it all I had! Didn’t help that I took the first one way too fast. 🙈 My watch shows total including warm up and cool down.
Longest run since Dopey! 6 fairly easy miles this morning. Started out slow for the first 4 1/2 then picked up the pace with around a 6:55 pace for the last 1/2 mile. Felt great to stretch it out again! Been trying to take it easy and not run much since the challenge. #instarunners#runlikeagirl#runninggirl
