Part II • Ghost forest 🌳 👻🌳 The primordial ghost forest with its wonderful hiking trails and the characteristic, wind-blown trees is something very special. "Where the wind mows the grass", the locals say when they speak of this magical place: Because the curved grasses of the forest are exposed to permanent sea wind, they always seem to remain the same length.
The uniqueness of this coastal forest lies in the nature of the "spooky" shaped trees. Over many years the saline, damp sea air and the wind caused the picturesque deformations.
The tree stands consist of up to 170 years old oaks, beeches, hornbeams and ash trees. A tip: Especially at twilight, the atmosphere in the ghost forest is an indescribable experience! #hiking#hikingadventures#fromwhereistand#passionpassport#seewhatisee#neverstopexploring
365 windows around the world - Day 350 - Ngee Ann - Singapore *I met this cutie, full of energy and a little bit wacky, Singaporean babe in Mexico last year. We had a lot of fun together and kept in touch since. It was really nice to see her again, especially in her home country. Love you lots, Janicita! ❤️
