One of my bosses has caught on to my vintage ornament hoarding. These beauties arrived today at work. Boss man knew what was in the box because it was so light. I explained that every Christmas ends with broken ornaments that must be replaced. Having six trees (all table size) and two naughty kitties requires lots of ornaments! That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. 👍🏻🎄🎅🏻 #shinybrite#christmasneverends#ihoardvintageornaments
Spent a little time refurbishing my #vintagechristmas ornament boxes - replacing the cellophane windows, repairing tears, and replacing missing tissue with tracing paper (much closer texture to vintage paper than modern tissue). Looks like I need to keep my eye out for a few more boxes though! #shinybrite#santaland#noma#fieldcraft

So, this is how our guest bedroom has looked for a few weeks now. 😳 #outofsight#outofmind
So, yesterday I did a #sort / #purge / #organizing of all things Christmas. I put the shelves in the back for the first time while the closet was somewhat empty. (It’s missing one so it got demoted to a never seen closet.)👊🏻
Getting stuff up off the floor makes a huge difference #shelveit. And, I was able to empty two boxes! And, my kitchen table is covered in what I’m #purging. #nextonthelist
And, I thought y’all might like to see a sampling of the #vintageChristmas ornaments I collect. 😍 #shinybrite
So, does anyone need a humidifier or baby gates? 😁 And, I have three #nativity sets I’m going to sell. It feels weird selling Jesus. 😂 But, I’m going to expand my #Fontanini collection instead. Anyone else collect Fontanini? I’ll throw in some Christmas pot holders and a roll of wrapping paper, too (it didn’t fit in my container)! 😉

It's a start. I'm the master procrastinator when it comes to putting away the Christmas decorations. I have way too many ornaments. #vintagechristmas#shinybrite
Today is Three Kings Day. 👑👑👑 Sharing one last photo of my girly tree 🎀 and the gigantic rainbow ornament BOMB 🌈 that is my family’s legacy tree 😄—the tree that holds all the ornaments our family has collected over the years to commemorate special events in our lives. From the ornament of a ballerina to mark the year of my first dance recital, to the one of a snowman ☃️ to mark the time I was an 18-year-old college kid in the PNW touching snow for the first time, this tree has become a 7’5” tall rainbow of my memories.
Also known as the Epiphany, Three Kings Day marks the 12th day of Christmas and the day the Three Wise Men presented gifts to Jesus after traveling 12 days across the desert. As a kid, I loved this day because it meant enjoying Christmas for a little longer. ♥️🎄As an adult, I’ve really learned to appreciate the symbolism behind it. Our Three Kings Day tribe in the IG decor circle is small and it truly has felt awkward to still post about Christmas when it seems everyone has long since packed away all their holiday decor. Buuut, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed telling gals all about this day when they tell me they’re reluctant to part with their trees, and our circle gets just a little bigger each day when they tell me they’re relieved they now have a valid reason to still leave their Christmas stuff up. 😄😉 Sharing this pic today because I can’t properly move on from the Christmas season without ever sharing my family’s legacy tree. Aaand I also may or may not have broken the camel 🐫 in my nativity set that I was originally supposed to photograph for today’s photo of the day. 😳🤭😆 Gives a totally new meaning to the phrase “the straw that broke the camel’s back” for me. 🤪 Hehe oops.
