The workshop will focus on the 3 powerlifts: #squat, #benchPress, and #Deadlift. We will have a short lecture, followed by a short lifting session, on each lift. Participants will learn best practices for the 3 lifts including warm-ups, and optimizing technique for safety and strength. They will also receive individual coaching on each of the 3 lifts. Heaviest weight on my back since quad surgery a year ago and by far the strongest my back has been.
Can't squat ATG? No dorsiflexion? Don't worry, you're still a good person.
Don't let your horrible ankles prevent you from thinking you'll never get down where the grass is greener.
Chip away at the hips and make sure you don't cut any corners. You'll start to realize there's a lot more to a deep squat than mobile ankles.

It was such an honor to compete with the exceptionally fine folks at @usstrengthlifting nationals. The caliber of the competition was legit. And the meet host @tomcampitelli and support crew who helped run, set up and take down were insane. Truly, I’m so grateful Tom is crazy enough to keep putting these on.
I went 8/9 missing my 3rd squat at 283.8 for a would-be competition PR. Hit a #Press#PR at 116.6 and got 400.4 off the floor just fine. I didn’t think a PR was there that day after how my 2nd attempt went at 391. Things just weren’t clicking into place, but i suppose it’s cool to have pulled 400+ for the 4th time in my life.
Overall it was an amazing opportunity to experience first hand the growth of the community since the first #Strengthlifting meet. News flash: more people are getting stronger.
