People are all too happy to pitch a hair product when someone complains about dryness, a failed hairstyle, frizziness or something else, however, their advice often comes from the experience with their own hair or someone else's' hair, not your own! ⠀
What ends up happening is that people don't often get the results they expect (sometimes they end up worse) and they blame it on the product.⠀
Products don't work alone. Good #haircare are is a partnership between your understanding the principles of #curlyhair and your current hair health, good hair care practices AND choosing the products that will cater to your hair needs based on their ingredients and how they'll help you achieve what you're looking for. ⠀
A bad understanding of any of the principles in this partnership allied to bad, inaccurate or outdated information is what causes hair woes that can sometimes be very dramatic. ⠀
To wrap up, what I want to say is that YOU have to do the legwork to get the results you want. It's not just you picking up a product because it says moisturising and expect it to solve your dryness issues, for instance. NO!⠀
Does this feel like hard work? Perhaps, but not as much as wasting years and money battling issues of dryness, breakage or frizz. Once you have the basic knowledge you need you'll be able to achieve the results you want. Knowledge comes first. ⠀

@hif3licia “Comment below how long it takes your hair to dry!!*
For those asking.. YES!! the @dyson#supersonic significantly cuts down drying time! My best friend @daniimii_curlii even agrees! (Her hair usually takes HOURS to dry) I get my most defined curls & lots of volume when I start on low heat +low speed for a few minutes then I go to medium speed + low heat, then high speed + no heat! It takes about 30-45 minutes to get my hair COMPLETELY dry!“ #curlynatural

Reminiscing on the days my makeup was poppin and hair was slayed. Lately both have been dull, dry, and tired.
