Old and new 💥 I love the harmony of those two in this picture. ⛵️🏙 Don’t you?
I’ve been nominated by the lovely Ana @the.backpacker.girl to share 5 things about myself so here we go:
1. Hong Kong is my all time favourite city, hence the picture. London comes a close second. ❤️
2. I was born in Bosnia & Herzegovina, grew up in Canada and now live in the U.K. 🌎
3. I lived and worked in China. I was taking Mandarin lessons and was able to hold a simple conversation. Sadly, it’s all gone now. 🤷♀️
4. I don’t play any instruments and I was really keen to rectify that. Three years ago I asked for a ukulele for Christmas and got one. I still don’t play any instruments. 🙄
5. My three biggest pet peeves are i) being called Monica; ii) incorrect grammar (it’s vs its, you’re vs your and so on); iii) the question ‘I can’t place your accent, where are you from?’ because there isn’t a simple answer to that one. If I ever meet any of you, at least I’ll be able say see 2 above! 😉

When you can barely walk, but travel is life. 🤷🏻♀️🌍 #throwback
Home on the range
Where the deer and the antelope play.... Was a song learnt in school....came to life when i stepped out of the car in khajjiar.i became a child, running around, chasing cattle(not appreciated),lying on the grass with the sun warm on my face.i felt like I have stepped into one of those scenic pictures on a table calender.
Autumn still retains the green.nights are cold and hauntingly dark(refer to upcoming posts).the air is the purest you will ever breathe.i so wish I could fit in the entire frame.
Google pics of #khajjiar in winter to be left in awe(understatement)The entire valley turns white, surrounding forests and mountains adorned with snow.(visit recommended)Snow levels in the valley rise to 6 feet (even to 10 feet in 2010).so pretty chilly.
Khajjiar offers adventure sports the most popular among them being paragliding. Also you get to play with bunnys, ride on horses etc.
Food is not that great but secondary when you get this view.you will be amazed at what a stretch of 2kms can do to you(refer to previous post for travel details). A stay at "the khajji cottage"(extreme right of picture 1)will add to your experience in irreplaceable ways.

Volcán del Cuervo 💥 This guy is one of the many volcanoes on the island of Lanzarote but the first one to erupt in 1730. What makes it special is that its crater has collapsed on one side so you can just walk into it. I’ve always been fascinated by volcanos - they hold a certain mystery mixed with a bit of danger - so walking into a volcano crater was a must do for me! 😀
Did you know that 75% of all volcanos on the Earth are located along the edges of the Pacific Ocean in an area known as the “Ring of Fire”?
Most people know that I love every place I travel to. Somehow it’s impossible for me to find things I dislike. Maybe it’s just me or maybe it’s the art of seeing the tiny beautiful things within a place. Either way Mexico stole my heart, yet again 💛🧡💜 #takemeback
Casa Milà 💥 Whether or not you’ve been to Barcelona, you’ll probably recognise one of its most famous buildings and Gaudí’s masterpiece.
The balconies you see here are said to resemble waves or cliff-like caves. The interior, like the exterior, has no straight lines and therefore no right angles.
Did you know that Gaudí put lifts on every other floor because he wanted the people to all know each other, the idea being that the people on different floors should communicate with one another?
Footprints 💥 I never knew I’d be leaving my footprint in Ghana. As a travel destination, I was aware of the country but it didn’t feature on any bucket list I might have had. However, we had friends who moved there so we took the opportunity to visit and go on a road trip. We ended up having an amazing time and we got the learn about a country that otherwise we would have never visited!
Have you ever visited somewhere without many expectations only to be pleasantly surprised by it?
Daydreaming 💥 With January blues almost behind us, I’ve started thinking about the different kind of blues - sky & sea! This is Nest Beach and it was my favourite beach on Antigua, if not overall. White sand, blue water, a great little restaurant that serves delicious coconut shrimp - paradise! You know when they say “close your eyes and go to your happy place”? This is where I go. This exact spot.
What’s your happy place?
