To become stronger we must work on our weaknesses. This is my new daily routine trying to improve those weak spots. Glutes, lower back and core all on fire during this workout so hopefully that means I am doing something right.
“Spoilt” on my 10kms run off the bike with @luke.besselaar coming along as water boy on the bike. It can be ridiculously lonely out there sometimes so always nice to have someone there for a chat, take photos and give a kick up the bum when you need it. Oh and he bought me an ice coffee when I finished. He is pretty good. #supportivedude
Turning the lights out on day 1 of the @pureridecycles Newport Tri Camp coached by the @cts_santaynez rockstars: Jeana, Paul and Rad! A solid day of bike, run, swim, eat, swim, run, yoga, and eat again... who am I kidding? I ate all day! Feels great to push the body, but this kid is tuckered out.

Staying positive. That’s been the main goal this week, after a stomach infection on Sunday took me down hard. To top it all, I blew my back on Monday night when carrying one of girls. It’s times like these that negative thoughts creep in, and we do stupid things to hold on to the fitness we have gained in previous weeks, but these stupid mistakes can, and often do, make things worse. By staying positive we keep this thoughts away, and make good choices. Stay positive, and stay healthy.

Mount Maunganui Aquabike 🥉
No race pics from today’s Aquabike at The Mount. Managed to claim 3rd in my age group but I was in a world of pain. Last night I had a spill off my bike while out training (a hilarious summersault according to @tayloredhealthnz ) and my body felt very second hand today 🤕
Stoked with a great swim in my @blueseventynz Helix and it was awesome to see so many Helix’s dominating the swim course all day
