Need to get more of these and get back in shape. Not a bad run over the past 3 and a half years of doing triathlon and running lots. Did everything from 5k’s to 50 mile ultra marathons. And did countless sprint to full distance Ironman’s.
Great workout today. #zwift makes those long trainer rides so much better. Follow that up with a brick. You can find me on my couch in my @air_relax boots drinking a glass of bourbon. Both are for the recovery 😏
Why smile when it's so painful? 😂 First attempt at a 1km swim followed by a 10km run half an hour apart. The swim consisted of a 300m easy swim, then a 150m at hard effort, and 3x100m hard effort with 45 secs rest, and finally a 250m easy. To be honest I don't really know what I'm doing 😂 but it feels good to have a plan and pretend I've got it covered 😂. Altogether it was 1000m in 28:32. Then I went to the mall and quickly bought some snack balls as I felt hungry, gobbled two balls up then hit the road for a 10km run at moderate effort 5:21 pace. Legs felt good after swim, considering I had a long run yesterday, it wasn't so bad up until I climbed a hill plus the heat which all wore me out. Felt really knackered afterwards. Makes me question how can I pull off swim-bike-run in one setting. Well I guess I have to fake it til I make it. Lol. I usually enjoy smelling things like honeysuckle and pine trees on my long runs. Today, for a change, I ran around the perimeter of our mall, and enjoyed the smells of Panera, Chipotle, and Azzip Pizza! Life is just plain fun! 🍞🌮🍕😊

Peanut butter açai bowl after my spin class at United Ride🚴♀️. This morning I accidentally slept in until 8:30am so couldn’t run to the class. My km’s on Strava are looking a little low this week so I’m going to have to run this afternoon if I want to meet this weeks goal of 19km👟. Day 3 is a beautiful ride along the gulf in Florida from Panama City Beach to Pensacola. This section was spectacular, but very windy. Flashback to my very first half marathon in 2015. I did not train for this and it was a last minute decision... I had a lot of support from @teamrwb and I continue to support them!! I love all of you!! My time was right around 2:30 so not too bad for not training .. I wing most of my races anyhow!!
Nice evening sweat sesh! Two mile warm up two mile short tempo and two mile cool down. This is week one of the Run Less, Run More novice marathon training plan. These tempos are one of the key runs. “Release into the Line” - Sometimes we “hold back” a bit in Breaststroke, not allowing the head to completely release and line up with the spine, which leads to extra resistance and reduced speed.
