Vibin-High today with this superfood packed smoothie 🦄🌟💓 for those who say they don’t have time to eat healthy - this smoothie literally took less than 5 minutes to make w/ cleanup! I threw in starfruit, kiwi and rambutan with some chilled green tea, moringa and @amazinggrass green superfood powder and then added a splash of pea protein mylk. It’s 20 degrees out and all I’m craving is a smoothie 🤷🏻♀️ but I have a cup of hot coffee on the side! Saturdays have become one of my favorite days. We leave the house early, drive into Nashville and I drop off my husband and mom-in-law off at their yoga class (sadly my preggy hips keep me from joining them). Then I get to do the grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s! Seriously, after living in China for 2 years, it’s easy to get excited about running errands☺️
To fuel my exciting excursion (haha) I always load up on a hearty bowl of OATMEAL...CHOCOLATE OATMEAL at that. Topped with banana, cacao nibs and my favorite CASHEW BUTTER from Trader Joes👌🏼
Doctors go into the field of medicine with the right intentions. They just end up with the wrong tool set to manage their patient’s illnesses. There has been a longstanding liaison between the pharmaceutical industry and the American Medical Association which has corrupted medical education over the decades. Medical education is very heavily-weighted on pharmacological and surgical interventions because this is what is profitable. There is almost zero education on the prevention/treatment of disease with nutrition.
Why are so many doctors then resistant to this information once they hear of success stories in patients on a plantbased diet? Well, doctors spend $200k+ and around 10 years training in med school, residency, and fellowship, learning how to identify diseases and treat them with medication and surgical interventions. If prevention and treatment of many chronic diseases has such a simple solution, why hadn’t they heard about it before? Plus, doctors share the same unhealthy eating habits as their patients. So they are unlikely to recommend lifestyle changes that they themselves are unwilling to follow.
