- Late 1980's "Jersey Joe" hand painted this sign for FRANK'S Shoe Repair on Colorado ave. Monrovia. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Joe must of had passed away right around 2001.
I was glad to have met him and have our front window done by him as well.

One of the coolest things to happen so far this year is American Girl's 2018 Girl of the Year, Luciana Vega!
She’s an 11-year-old Chilean-American girl who dreams of being an astronaut and the first person to go to Mars. She’s a leader and a champion of STEM. "Luciana is a role model for today’s girls -- empowering them to defy stereotypes, embrace risks and failures, and chart their own course in life -- whatever the goal," said Katy Dickson, President of American Girl.
The doll is determined to reach her career goals, but on a personal level she also wants to be a good role model and big sister for the baby her parents are adopting from Chile. She strives to be a good friend and leader. She makes mistakes, learns from them and moves on. Through her character, work ethic and kindness, Luciana hopes to encourage young girls to reach for the stars! And to that we say, “you go, girl!”
