You know it's a good hike if you find yourself crossing over downed trees to cross rivers

“Are you living the life you chose; are you living the life that chose you?” -Jason Isbell
Sometimes, we can’t help the life that’s been given to us, but we also don’t have to remain there. I’m a full believer in speaking into existence the desires of our heart and being fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.
In this life, it’s easy to fall into conformity or to be ‘told’ by society how to live your life. Or, as a photographer, allow the industry to determine how you run your business.
I’m choosing to go deeper and to invest more of my time into building relationships & capturing stories. One day at a time.
When I think of a perfect day, I think of the weather we had today and sitting on the front porch with a cold IBC root beer in my hand. In fact, I’m going to grab one right now & enjoy the rest of this wonderful night. 🌙
For all of the things I dislike about social media and how it has affected everyday life, it is pretty damn cool when you have followed someone for a while, admired their work, and then finally get to meet and shoot with them. I met @connorjpaton at Brasstown Bald yesterday at around 6:30am as we prepared to shoot the sunrise. Although both of us made the 2 hour drive up from Atlanta, neither of us knew that each other would be there. It is these impromptu moments that bring the 'social' out of social media. If you have not gotten a chance to see any of his work, definitely head over to his profile and give him a follow. Definitely one of the top IG accounts of North Georgia.
Nothing but TOADS today! Guided ice fishing is still going here in Pagosa Springs, CO. Book your trip before the ice is gone!

Amicalola Falls State Park is a beautiful place to visit, and to get a good workout with the stairs and trails it offers. It's not very far from Ellijay, and it's a great area attraction. I'll be posting more pictures in the coming days.
What is your opinion of this page not sticking strictly to the boundary of Gilmer County? This is the first pic (I think) not taken in the county.
Hiked up to the top of Sawnee Mountain for sunset again this past week. So far I have hiked 15 trails this year and I’m only a month a half in! Glad to have friends who are willing to go hiking with me in 30 degree weather!
When it’s Monday but you have the day off. 😲

High Shoals Falls is one of my favorite waterfalls in GA. The trail to the falls is about 2.5 miles round trip, and you also have the opportunity to check out Blue Hole Falls on the way down. Definitely worth the trip. #atlantatrails#trailful

After a weekend of laying around inside trying not to get sick...escaping to the edge of Cloudland for a few minutes this evening was such a welcome respite. Give me the sound of distant waterfalls echoing off canyon walls, on repeat, please and thank you.
Galentine’s Day is only the best day of the year. It’s a day we ladies get together and celebrate each other. What better way to spend it than adventuring one of Georgia’s most remarkable state parks with our Georgia @girlswhohikeofficial tribe ❤️
Our ladies conquered the Waterfall Trail along with the West Rim Loop Trail, almost 9 miles! I’m completely blown away at how encouraging, loving, and strong each one of these ladies are. Thank you ladies for taking the time to join our hike today. We look forward to many more adventures and memories to come this year!
What a morning. Finally got a decent sunrise with some color after many failed attempts in the past couple weeks. A nice cloud inversion didn’t hurt either. Well worth the early morning wake up call #atlantatrails
