One wreath on the house so far...the front door. Ha ha. It is so cold today! I found the metal Merry Christmas @crackerbarrel and attached florist wire to attach it to my wreath. We put wreaths like this on all of our windows...eventually. 😊😉 #christmasdecorating#wreath#merrychristmas

Goodness. The roller coaster that is working harder than you ever have in your life but feeling like you are letting people down left, right and centre regardless.
Have you guys been there?
Harvesting, answering messages in a reasonable timeframe, eating breakfast instead of 10pm Kraft Dinner. All of it. It's messy and I can't get any of it right.
What makes our work different than traditional shops is that we do harvest most of the evergreens we use ourselves. These greens are freshly cut every week, and that means you are receiving high quality products that will last. That's a huge advantage for you in purchasing from a farm. We also purchase from other local growers to ensure we can offer you a wonderful and high quality selection.
I share this because what it also means is that we spend many long hours in the fields and in the forests cutting, harvesting, bunching, preparing and creating products. That means we cannot always quickly catch phone calls or messages.
I'll be completely honest with you, I struggle with this. I want to provide you the absolute best and freshest product I can. I do also want to remain attentive to you. We are a small team of three people and we are far from perfect. We don't have the balance figuring out yet, but we are working hard.
Our customer's patience, grace, kindness and support are everything. Know that we appreciate it.
Running a farm, an active working farm, is about 100 times harder than the very long days I used to put in at a traditional retail flower shop. It's also infinitely more rewarding. There are days where I wonder if I'm any good at it at all. Then there are days where I am so ridiculously proud of the high quality products we are offering. There are days where I feel like I'm letting everyone down, and there are days where I feel so strongly about the reach of the magic we are trying to create here on this little farm outside of Trenton.
I'm not sure what any of that means. I'm sure I've put in a long day, and I know tomorrow will be longer. Tomorrow is another great opportunity to try and be just a little better. The gratitude I have for those who stick with us is endless.
