#ardhamalasana ( #extendedlegsquat)
Everything will be okay. All you have to do is believe. Believe in yourself and that you will find your way.
The extended leg squat, one of my favourite variations to stretch out the hips and groin. Believe it or not, I actually find extending the arms makes it easier to stay balanced while being upright. The key here is to keep the foot you are putting most of your weight on flat on the ground. There is a tendency to lift the ankle for those working on their ankle flexibility. The more flexible you get, the deeper and lower you can sit. It's even possible to do this pose with one's leg completely flat on the ground! I like to point my toes up with heel on the ground on my extended leg as it works my hip slightly better. One can play around with the extended foot flat on the ground as well.

In pursuing our life goals and the idea of being better selves, we have a habit of chasing or waiting for certain ideals and having never-ending to-do lists. Not in favor of mediocrity, but sometimes it is good to pause and appreciate all that we already have. 🙏 #santosha#contentment#gratitude

Revisiting #naughtyorniceyogi4 with yesterday’s pose #visvamitrasana. I’m all about the laterals so this pose feels amazing for me. Visvamitra was Rama’s teacher and rival for a very long time of Vasistha so this challenging posture is named for a king turned rishi with a very rich story!
SURRENDER 〰️ Then surrender some more.
We spend our whole lives revisiting the idea of surrendering. Then one day we realize that the moment of letting go is not when life is over, it’s when life truly begins. (Do I sound like a yoga teacher yet?😜)
I sat down for a psychic reading this week. The first thing the reader said to me was “Wow, you’re a wild one!” I was like...”Yea, I know. Can you give me some strategies of how to find the balance between establishing foundation/home base without settling down?” She had some interesting insight. Do you believe in that stuff?
